This past month I spent two weeks deeply involved in our national
church government, called General Assembly. It’s an amazing time,
full of amazing people. We discussed matters of justice, matters of
faith, matters of finance. We praised God in many languages,
listened as bagpipes played, held each other in times of fear, ate
and laughed.
It’s a messy process, to be sure. Imagine a committee meeting
featuring over 300 delegates from all over the country. It can be a
WILD time.
But it was also a deeply faithful time. Full of song, full of prayer, full
of joy. I hope to go again, and highly recommend it to others.
We are Presbyterian, and sometimes that can be messy.
Like, REALLY messy.
But it can also be unbelievably beautiful.
