From the Pastor’s Desk – October

I know the kids in the congregation will hate me a little for saying this, but I’m kind of glad summer has finally come to an end.

In general, I always prefer the cool or the cold to heat. When it’s cold, you can always put on another sweater, or get under another blanket, whereas with the heat, you can only take so much off before people get nervous about having you work in church.

Also, we have a congregation of largely happy families going on fulfilling adventures and frankly I’m looking forward to having you all back in the building again.

One of my big bits of excitement is that the Choir has resumed practicing under our new Choir Director, Vicki Arndt, and we had quite a crowd show up for our first choir meeting/practice. I’m SUPER stoked to hear the music they will bring to our worship service in the months to come. More voices in worship are always welcome.

If you would like to be involved in the music of the church, be sure to get ahold of Vicki. The Choir is always open for more singers, and if you wish to help lead music but aren’t sure about your singing voice, the Bell Choir will likely be resuming soon, as well.

It’s exciting to see what is coming, so I hope you’ll come and join us!
